Imperial spice profit and mission eligibility
The Emperor-appointed Spice Steward and House of Water both receive a 33% increase on normal /duneess sell spice sales. Membership in either currently valid appointed house is sufficient. Having both appointments does not stack the increase. Being an operator or selecting a water-career label does not grant this bonus.
Worked sale: 100 spice
Normal base value is 100 x 15 = 1,500 Solaris. Without a valid appointment, the default levy is 19, leaving 1,481 before any bounty consequences. For a sanctioned house, gross becomes 1,995; the levy rounds up to 25, leaving 1,970 Solaris. This is a 33% increase to gross revenue, not an added fixed 33 Solaris or a second payment.
Boundaries of the bonus
The increase applies to the normal inventory spice-sale path. It does not multiply CHOAM completion rewards, the worker/sponsor exchange split or a smuggler contract reward. Tagged spice still needs to be in storage inventory when sold. Default 15-Solaris unit value and the Trust levy remain configurable.
Appointments are checked live against the current Emperor and election term. When an appointment expires or changes, eligibility changes with it. A stale displayed house label is not proof of current authorization. Cargo already held is not automatically sold when rights change.
Politics, elections and the Spacing Trust
/dune politics and /dune trust access the same prototype political system. /dune politics status shows the Trust balance, election bucket, faction, leader, Emperor, stored appointments and invasion state. You need a selected faction for actions other than status.
The treasury and elections
The default Trust levy is 1.21% of applicable gross direct sales, rounded up. /dune politics deposit 500 voluntarily withdraws 500 from your wallet and adds it to the Trust if you have sufficient funds. The Trust is not a personal withdrawable bank account.
Use /dune politics vote PlayerName for your faction leader and emperorvote PlayerName for the Emperor. A candidate must be online and have a playable faction. Faction-leader candidates must belong to your house; imperial candidates may come from another house. Each player can cast one ballot in each applicable election bucket. The current highest tally determines the winner immediately, with lexicographic UUID tie-breaking.
Election buckets are seven-day Unix epoch divisions, not a scheduled election ceremony at a local Monday midnight. Leaders and the Emperor are recalculated from the current bucket's ballots. There is no separate close-election or campaign system.
Invasions
The current elected faction leader can use /dune politics invasion <house> to target a different playable faction. Default cost is 50,000 from the Trust, duration sixty minutes and required defense contributions five. Only one unexpired invasion is allowed.
Members of the defending house contribute using /dune politics defend; each stored defender identity contributes once. Reaching five broadcasts that the invasion was repelled and clears its active deadline. This is a ledger-and-announcement prototype: there is no automatic territory capture, structure destruction, NPC army or attacker victory payout when time expires. Status can retain stored attacker and defender labels after expiry. Shared politics storage remains a whole-record prototype, not fully transactional multi-server governance.
Contracts and political commands
/dune trust accepts the same politics subcommands. Political authority is earned from the current recorded vote tallies; being a server operator does not automatically make a player the elected leader or Emperor. The target house names are Fremen, Harkonnen, Corrino, Atreides and Ordos.
